Gov't pushes through more secret decisions

The secretive amnesty decree passed by the Cabinet on Tuesday is a slap in the face of educated Thais. PM Yingluck told reporters that she didn't know the details of the decree because she didn't chair the meeting. The timing of this decree coincided with

Such a coincidence reminds us of her brother extending the New Year holiday for one day, which happened to be the day Pojaman was transferring her Ratchada land title and was eligible to pay her land transfer tax of a mere 0.5 per cent.
Another such coincidence was on the amendment of the law requiring the foreign ownership transfer of shares one day before the sale of Shin Corp to Temasek. Yingluck’s pledge to the public on the day she took office that her government would not commit any act that would favour any individual regardless of affiliated political colour is still fresh in our minds, and is a farce.
The bad karma must be working on Thailand and the wish for national reconciliation will never be realised as long as these genetically crooked politicians are with us. How will Thailand present herself with dignity at the upcoming Asean meeting after such a shameful incident? As the prime minister, Yingluck will be held accountable for whatever her government does. The denial again proves that Yingluck is only a puppet and lacks leadership skills and should be removed.
