Leadership on climate too difficult for Obama

This story tells us that climate change is “the definitive challenge of the 21st century” and the world’s top experts would agree. Yet on page 10A US President Barack Obama is quoted as calling the “defining issue of our time” the financial security of the middle class. Does he not know that the economy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the environment? And that there can be security for no country or class without safeguarding the environment? His famous “Yes, we can” seems to mean, “Yes, we can ignore what we find difficult.” Pity.
