It wasn't Mr Shepherd's 'management' style that drove me out of his group, but his dictatorial style did contribute. There was nothing like democracy - all contributions flowed through Mr Shepherd's inbox & were vetted by him. No one knew what others were saying or their overall views, only his filter of their versions. A blog was suggested, which might have provided some vestige of openness - rejected by Shepherd.
If he has an admission from the BBC regarding an apology to the government - fine. I'll withdraw my previous comment when I see the proof. It is noteworthy that no evidence to support the accusation against a BBC journalist attempting to suppress the complaint was provided in his letter.
Mr Shepherd knows full well why I withdrew from his '300' as I made my opposition clear: to turning the complaint into an effort to smear the BBC journalist concerned.
A vendetta? One letter in 9 or so months. This is pure misuse of the word just as the word 'facts' is misused. I have carried out no personal vendetta against anyone, but will respond to half truths, distortion, innuendo and personal attacks against me & what I write.
