Ostrich-like stance from the US on Israel

Re: "War with Iran would be madness", Letters, March 2

Charles Frederickson addressed the possibility of “another devastatingly unnecessary war” and the apparent motives of “the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC), neo-conservative commentators and right-wing politicians” in the US, but there is something even more disturbing about unfolding (or unravelling) events: the “know nothing” nature of the current US administration.
Top US officials “know nothing” about assassinations of nuclear scientists in Iran.
Top US officials “know nothing” about Israeli plans, if there are any, to bomb Iran.
Top US officials predict that they will “know nothing” if Israel does bomb Iran.
Top US officials “know nothing” when it comes to reining in Israel with regard, as a matter of fact, to just about any issue.
If top US officials continue on their “know nothing” course, then they may find themselves likewise “devastatingly unnecessary” in the eyes of US voters and the rest of the world.
