The official launch of new luxury condominium, The Legend by Boathouse, in Hua Hin surprised and delighted clients and the media with its 1960’s ambience at the “Aloha Hawaii” beach party held over the Songkran weekend.
The star-studded opening ceremony featured more than 60 songs made famous by the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, an exhibition of classic cars, most notably a 1960 MG MGA Roadster, the model used by Elvis in the 1961 film, “Blue Hawaii”, and plenty of other activities.
The Elvis songs at the concert were performed by Thai impersonators Vasu “Jib” Sangsingkaew and Sattawat “Camp” Tungkharat as well as Padcha Anekayuwat, Wiwit Bawongkiratikajorn aka Tee AF4, and Papontee “Pro” Veeraprawat.
Vasu delighted the crowd with a show that featured more than 10 songs including “See See Rider”, “Burning Love”, “Don’t Be Cruel”, “Suspicious Minds”, and “Love Me Tender”.
The veteran singer jumped down on the beach and encouraged some of the audience to dance with him. Among them was Prapaisith Tankeyoon, managing director of Boathouse Hua Hin and a loyal Elvis fan.
Mum Laconic also scored high with the audience, singing the popular songs of the late American pop singer Whitney Houston.
The new condominium project is aimed at those looking for a second home and has as its concept, “whether wake up or sleep, you can see the sea”.
