No wonder they think the West is corrupt

I was reading the many articles in the newspapers regarding the overly sensitive Muslim reaction to a movie made by some lunatic in America when I came across another article regarding Lady Gaga.
It seems that she is releasing a new fragrance and was promoting it. It also seems that she said that she wanted to “smell like a slut”. The most unfortunate thing is that it will probably sell, as will her records continue to sell.
I have a lot of difficulty understanding Muslims’ sensitivity regarding their religion. If you believe, then why does it matter what anyone else says? But then I see icons of the West publicly announcing that they want to smell like a slut, and I begin to wonder if just maybe the Muslim world might have a point in its paranoia about the West.
My point is that, although it is evident that something is amiss in the Muslim world, it is equally apparent that something is amiss in the West also.
