Moscato gets a little romantic

Jacob’s Creek, the premium wine brand from Australia, last week hosted a “Sparkle Your Romance with Jacob’s Creek Moscato” banquet ahead of Valentine’s Day. Celebrating the Thai success of Moscato sparkling wine – part of the Jacob’s Creek family – the flowery pink party at Asiatique’s Checkmate Bar and Bistro was in a mood for love.
The guests, including several celebrities, were greeted with White Romance Moscato Sangria and Sweetheart Moscato Sangria before taking seats at candlelit tables decorated with white and pink flora.
Dinner began with a Checkmate Salad with tuna fillet and a Japanese-inspired dressing, paired with Trilogy Love Royale, a colourful Moscato cocktail.
The next course was savoury crab mini-cakes on lemongrass sticks served with chilled Jacob’s Creek Trilogy Pinot Noir Chardonnay Pinot Meunier, a sparkling wine made from three grape varieties.
The main event was a succulent salmon steak with basil pesto and green salad, paired with Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Moscato. And the dessert, which drew “oohs and ahs” from the guests, was Checkmate’s Sweet Cold Crepe accented with the rounded sweetness of Sparkling Moscato Rose.
