Economic policy is strangling the nation

It seems the Yingluck government is in an economic situation of its own making. The Commerce Ministry has admitted the country's exports this year will miss the projected target because of the rising baht.

The baht is stronger thanks mostly to the government’s B2-trillion infrastructure projects that have lured in foreign money. And the government’s costly populist policies are likely to spiral out of control – just as already expensive Thai rice has become even pricier.
Thus, the situation is very much like a snake that has swallowed its tail and is now up to its own neck.
