The northeast club, who became the first Thai side to qualify for the knockout stage since BEC Tero Sasana reached the final a decade ago, managed to protect the slender advantage they gained from last week’s first leg win at home with a well-disciplined defending at the Bunyodkor stadium in Tashkent.
Given the result, it meant the Thai side made it through to the last eight only on their second appearance in the continent’s elite club competition.
