PM must give us the rice scheme figures

I fully agree with PM Yingluck who said (in 2012), "Everybody has the right to be concerned" about the rice scheme. "We have the duty to explain."

She is spending our money, and thus she should be accountable to us taxpayers. To do this, she should about-face and be completely transparent about the whole matter. Government economic affairs spokesman Wim Rungwattanajinda said that the Commerce Ministry “never reports the total amount of rice pledged under the scheme, the total amount of rice released from stockpiles, or the amount of money spent to finance the scheme”. This cannot continue. Yingluck must order the new commerce minister to give all of the above figures publicly and immediately, plus who bought our rice on government-to-government deals, volumes, and prices, etc.
As you yourself said, ma’am, you have the duty to explain. Instead of going after brave whistleblowers like Deputy Permanent Secretary of Finance Supa Piyajitti, give her and anti-graft bodies the information they need to see how responsibly you’re spending our money.
