It's not only about winning

Isn't it about time the child realised that this is far from a game? The political mess that his father launched upon the Thai nation has cost many lives on both sides.

Furthermore, how can the Thaksin camp keep avoiding the fact that their hero broke the law to enable him to stuff his pockets even fuller, a crime for which he was duly convicted by a properly established court of law?
This is no game where one side wins, the other loses and they shake hands and go home happy to play another day. This is a conflict that can only be resolved by finding a solution that recognises what has gone wrong on all sides and provides a basis for going forward that all parties can live with. It’s not about the political bully lording it over everyone else just because he’s got more votes. It’s certainly not about winners and losers, which journalists and politicians seem so obsessed with, and which does nothing but fuel the fire. Surely it’s about both sides compromising to find a way we can live together with a modicum of peace in the future, notwithstanding differences.
