Cronyism is the key

Re: "Calls for end to stalemate", November 28, Politics.

The game is not at stalemate. Taking Yingluck out of the game is not an option. She is too popular with the red shirts and not that unpopular with the general public. She has isolated herself from the extreme measures and appears to accept the court ruling in the Shin Corp case. She needs to move a few more steps along that line, drop all of the excess baggage and offer a government of national unity.
At the ministries, some officials have expressed support for anti-government actions. This is not surprising, since civil servants are accessories, perhaps unwittingly, to the corruption that takes place.  There are no bonus points for pointing out the emperor’s nakedness, only a promotion to counting paperclips. Though the prime minister has denied cronyism in government appointments, the actions of some appointees are too blatant not to notice. The cronyism in government appointments needs to be redressed immediately by Yingluck.
