Despite having plenty of “lifelines” – the Constitutional Court, the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Election Commission, the Human Rights Commission and a host of giant companies – one party is losing badly and sees no way of coming back. The other party has a full grip on power and is poised to keep it forever. So the losing party is peacefully inciting violence, raiding government buildings, blocking traffic, and willing to do anything to win back power.
