Question of "unusual wealth"

It wasn't difficult to work out why several members of the NLA were so desperate to avoid declaring their assets that they resorted to legal action, which failed.

Now all is revealed, with nine of them having assets amounting to hundreds of million baht.
I suppose successful businessmen can build up wealth of this magnitude without too much difficulty, but what about the several Army generals included on the list? How did they become so wealthy? Can wealth of this magnitude be regarded as unusual?
The NLA is supposed to be playing a crucial role in implementing the NCPO aims of reforming politics and eradicating corruption, so the public needs to have confidence in the integrity of the individuals who have been appointed to this body.
