NLA would be more likely to attract bribes, not NRC

Ref: "Sorry, NRC members could be tempted by 'inducements'", Letters, yesterday.

Somsak Pola’s letter unintentionally supports my contention that no one will pay NRC members for favours. He is correct that this NRC as “picked by General Prayut” will not favour his Pheu Thai. So, there is no need to bribe any number of NRC members to make life difficult for Pheu Thai. It will come naturally from this council to prevent the occurrences of the previous bad habits of Pheu Thai and its absent leader. No need for Suthep and that lost child – the “Grand Old Party” – to bribe the council for their gains.
One editorial (not yours) maintains there are areas of specific issues like energy that are opened to lobbyists to bribe NRC members. But those areas more directly involve the National Legislative Assembly than NRC. That is typical in an attempt to appear as whiter than white. Let’s ask a direct and purposeful question: In what area is it worthwhile for anyone to bribe NRC members? My answer is still zero.
