The government is considering making visa rules smoother to attract more tourists.
Why not make life even more “smooth” for tourists who already are here and coming by scrapping the demand for an international driving licence to rent and drive a vehicle legally in Thailand? Let tourists drive with their national driving licences.
I quit renting a motorbike recently because of the current unpleasant situation.
Every day I see tourists harassed by police. The police only ask for an international driving licence and if you have one they do not bother to read it because it is all only about extorting money, the newest police scam.
Please Prayut and the government, stop it – and make tourists happy again.
