Obama needs to confront the cattle industry

President Obama is a hypocrite. He’s goes over to Paris talking about the importance to confront global warming. Yet when he addressed the Asean Business summit he promoted the cattle industry by saying “There is no steak like an American steak”. He has to know that the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation said that livestock generate far more greenhouse gas emissions than transportation and are “one of the most significant contributors to today’s most serious environmental problems”.

As long as the Americans care more about their steak dinners and dairy foods than they do about the future of their children they have no right lecturing the rest of the world about the need to make sacrifices to end global warming.
