Shop and have festive fun at CDC this holiday season and donate a toy to a child in need
THE TOURISM AUTHORITY of Thailand (TAT), Crystal Design Centre (CDC), and Bangkok Bank are delivering friendship and love to locals and visitors with their “Sparkling Winter Celebration 2016 - Lighting Up the International Christmas Tree” and invite everyone to send a New Year present to underprivileged kids through the Mirror Foundation’s “Share for Change” project.
“We have organised this campaign for six consecutive years, and for this year, the Christmas tree is created as an ‘International Christmas Tree’ under the concept of ‘Delivering Friendship and Love to Everyone’. It is three-metres tall and decorated with several international flags from around the world,” says Supanavit Eiamsakulrat, executive director of KE Land.
“We would like to see Thai people being happy, love each other, and open to new friendship from around the world so we have organised this fun activity to thank our customers during this New Year festival.”
The event, which continues through January 15 kicked off earlier this month with the lighting ceremony and includes a New Year’s Eve bash to usher in the Year of the Monkey.
Among the celebrities who turned out for the lighting ceremony were Yada Roongwatanapak, Anongnart Amnueypol, Raviporn Kuonsongtham, Rudiampai Kuonsongtham, Thawanrat Hosajakul, Nattacha Hosajakul, Chidchanok Hosajakul, Jindapa Boonyakorn, Karuna Vachanapukka, Nuttvara Bunjapamai, Oravan Kraprayoon, Niramol Vayakornvichit, Wannapar Chayavichitsilp, Nintira Sophonpanich and Wanlapa Manoonpong who all sent their love to children by donating dolls and toys through the Share for Change Project.
Actress Janie Tienphosuwan led the international drum parade to signal the end of the year and welcoming the New Year while singer Da Endorphine added to the occasion and entertained during the special night. Shoppers spending on a Bangkok Bank credit or debit card from today until January 15 either at the centre or The Crystal have the chance to win a Toyota Vios 1.5E Auto valued at Bt654,000.
