My letter was wrongly edited and a strong argument left out. In the letter, I said that by sending the jet-ski renter out on a not seaworthy vessel (with a paper-thin patch over a bigger hole) the scammer endangers the life of the renter. This is even more serious than extortion.
If the jet ski sinks because of a thin and poorly made patch the insurance company will refuse to compensate and a surviving renter will battle with the scammers. Seriously, people have to stop this scam now before lives are lost.
