Loft stocks up on "Star Wars" characters and other heroes for a fresh year
THE POPULAR knick-knacks store Loft is ready for the Year of the Monkey with a sale called “The World of Ultimate Gifts”, comprising a huge array of imported gadgets, stationery, home decor, kitchenware and collectibles.
Fans of “Star Wars” – and who isn’t these days? – will be scooping up metal figurines of the film franchise’s main characters.
There’s also Iron Man, a Hulkbuster USB remote-controlled lamp with five modes and varying brightness, and Marvel flash-drives in the shape of the Mighty Thor and Captain America.
The ladies will be leaning toward a cosmetics set with brushes, foundation, eye shadow and blush, or soy-based skincare products from Japan, and maybe some Batiste Dry Shampoo to add body and texture to hair.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse come to life on Funko-pop plates, glasses, pots and kitchen utensils, while Ocean glassware and colourful double-wall tumblers evoke a beach-blessed holiday mood.
The stationery supplies include hand-woven bags from Canvas Factory, cute pens from South Korea, Japan and right here in Thailand, ink that glows in the dark under black light, and fancy tape for scrapbooks.
