The innuendo is derogatory, suggesting educated people do not support Trump, whom they refer to as a TV entertainer not suited to the serious post of president.
Interestingly, still the most celebrated president of the modern era is the late Ronald Reagan. He was a Hollywood film star. Declared the greatest president of all time is Abraham Lincoln, whose formal academic education consisted of a few weeks of basic schooling. Winston Churchill was considered an academic failure, but few could match his intellect and supreme leadership.
It is unfortunate that the degree of academic success continues to define a person’s value to society. Entering politics straight from university does not allow for the worldly experience essential to building a rich intellect, which is in turn essential for leadership. Academia-based intellect is theoretical and not practicable or applicable, in stark contrast to that based on experience.
The world is a practical place. Society needs practical leaders, not more academic career politicians. With Donald Trump in the White House, America will not only be made “great again”, but the whole Western world will be saved from the abyss of a totalitarian alien ideology. Political correctness will land in the trashcan, together with the federal Common Core education system. The whole Western world desperately needs practical, common-sense leadership. Currently it is on a self-destruct course, in betrayal of its Judaeo-Christian democratic values.
