I don’t know who or what “Egon” is, but he or she is not American. There are far greater issues at stake in this election than whether gays have the right to marry each other or women have the right to an abortion.
There are more serious matters at stake than whether gays and transgenders are discriminated against or Mexicans are insulted by being called rapists.
If that is the scope of Egon’s concerns, then he has my sympathy, but I, as an American, am more concerned with the survival of my social security, unbridled illegal immigration from Mexico, along with its secretive drug shipments, and the unrestricted immigration of Muslims along with their terrorists.
Donald Trump has made some unfortunate statements, but they pale in comparison to Hillary Clinton declaring that illegal immigrants should have government-sponsored hospitalisation and welfare.
As for Egon’s declaration of how Europe is so fair-minded, he might consider that the unbridled immigration of Syrians, again with terrorists sneaking in, is not exactly fair to the European citizens who have been there their entire lives.
Do I need to cite the airports, train stations, buildings, etc, that have been destroyed by Middle Eastern terrorists? There is fair and there is stupid.
Americans have been plagued for decades with demands from minorities, gays, transgenders and women. It has given them everything they wanted.
Now, just possibly, it might be time to direct its attention to survival. Or does Egon consider US$20 trillion to $30 trillion in arrears as a minor problem?
All of the above aside, I would suggest that one thing Trump does have going for him is that when he makes his declarations, even the unfortunate ones, he uses his own name, not some enigmatic pen name. That’s called courage.
