Calling Trump patriotic is a ridiculous comment

Having just read JC Wilcox’s latest flight of absurdist fantasy, one feels motivated to reply to this myopic drivel.

Calling Trump a “patriot”, Wilcox conveniently ignores the fact that Trump had the chance to serve his country, and join his fellow Americans fighting communism in Vietnam; he allegedly steadfastly, and wilfully, evaded this duty on a number of occasions. For that alone, it is just about impossible to dignify this sneering demagogue with a veneer of respectability.
Wilcox compounds his apology with the preposterous assumption that the nominally Republican candidate is a man of courage. Quite the opposite applies, considering the way he cowered in abject fear when a protester got onto the stage where he was waffling during the primaries.
If the horrifically unthinkable happens and Trump makes it to the White House, would the last sane American to leave the country please turn out the lights.
