Weather to censor or not?

Watching CNN weather reports this week, I noticed that every time the unusually high rainfall and flooding in the South of Thailand is referred to, the report is interrupted with the screen sign “Programming will resume shortly”.
Is this petty form of censorship an initiative of TrueVisions or the result of a government directive? If neither party chooses to respond, I trust The Nation will investigate.
