Trump disaster predictable

The unfolding disastrous Trump Presidency was completely predictable. I argued during the elections that a good president has to know how to work with legislators of both parties and world leaders. And he also has to have an intellectual grasp of the issues.

Perhaps in a dictatorship this “in your face” macho approach might work. But in America where you have three branches of government – the executive, the legislature and the courts, it’s incredibly stupid for a president to ever think that all the power belongs to him.
I once wrote that you couldn’t get hired as a maid if you said “I’m an outsider who has never cleaned a room or made a bed in my life, so I bring a unique perspective to the job”. Yet you can get elected President of the United States making that type of argument! Has America gone completely mad?
