“Established in 2002, the brand quickly became known internationally for its functional, minimalist and accessible furnishings. The brand collaborates with both up-and-coming and established designers and that’s where it gets its quirky and unconventional ideas,” says Veekrit, 32.
Designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec seek to reinvigorate the whole idea of the sofa, turning it from something inherently complicated to something simple, relaxed and accessible. Their “Can Sofa” comes flat-packed and can be easily assembled at home from three basic elements – frame, cover and cushions.
“Can Sofa is available in single to three-seater size and is practical for new generation urbanites who live in compact spaces. The single seater is so light that it can be carried by a woman on her own,” Veekrit says.
The brand’s About a Chair – a close collaboration with designer Hee Welling – comes in 14 new colours. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, the 13Eighty stool has 1380 holes punched into its seat perforating the plastic shell.
Even the humble toothbrush gets a design makeover. Keeping the design simple and functional, the Tann Toothbrush is manufactured by tooth care professionals Jordan. Made with a plastic handle and nylon brushes, it is available in a variety of pastel shades from soft grey, soft yellow to pale pink and green.
