So many wars ‘to end all wars’

World War I was fought to stop the imperialistic Germans – only for Europe to suffer a repeat of the destruction and killing 30 years later.

In Korea, the enemy advance was pushed to the Chinese border and the war won – except that politicians refused to support the necessary military action.
The Chinese took advantage of that political ignorance and forced the Allies back to the 38th parallel, where the nuclear stand-off is ongoing.
Vietnam, where the US military won every battle, had the North Vietnamese awaiting surrender terms, before US politicians threw it all away with “peace talks” which gave the North time to rebuild. Meanwhile the politicians cut off support for the South.
In the Middle East, the previous US president supplied our enemies, while allowing maximum collateral damage through the use of drones. This has made it extremely difficult for the current president to reverse the process and correct those wrongs.
