Back to the future
After more than 10 years of success, Napassorn “New” Phuthornjai and Piyanuch “Jiew” Seaujongpru, who are collectively known as New Jiew, will be back on stage next month for their third large-scale concert, “The Original”, taking place at Muang Thai GMM Live House on the eighth floor of CentralWorld on August 19 at 6pm.
“We feel so excited to have our third music journey and come close to our fans again,” the pair recently told the press. “Our fans have supported us from the very beginning and even after 14 years, we still feel like we are performing for the first time. This new concert will include our favourite songs and hits that fans liked from our debut album.
“And especially for this concert, we will sing the songs both in the original styles and rearranged. Our guest is The Parkinson, who has impressed us with its vocalist’s unique singing style. It will be very interesting to collaborate and marks the first time we have worked together on the same stage.”
Among the duo’s biggest hits are “Khon Jao Namta”, “Tham Mai”, “Ya Ao Kwam Ngao Ma Long Thi Chan”, “Ror Laew Dai Arai”, “Kep Kam Wa Rak Wai Chai Thi Uen”, “Tue Jing Rai Tua Ton”, “Mai Rak …. Mai Tong”, and “Tha Mai Fang Ja Tham Tham Mai”.
