Attacking an idiot is justified if that idiot is world’s most powerful man

Re: “Epic diet battle soured by Trump protester”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

Oh dear, “Alf Haupt” is on his high horse again. I personally have no more than a passing interest in what he calls the diet wars, but I do take exception to his allegation – for that is all that it appears to be – that Barry Kenyon’s real agenda is to get his own back on Haupt with regards to “absurd’ comments and attacks on Trump. I believe that attacks, if that be the word, on Trump can hardly be called absurd.
I already understand that Haupt supports this man, and that therefore Kenyon’s alleged thoughts are entirely apposite. As a result, the true absurdity rests with the former’s slavish obeisance to an idiot.
Haupt would do well to acquaint himself with Evelyn Beatrice Hall’s words, commonly attributed to Voltaire: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
