Sips and Sounds – the series of short concerts by masters and rising stars in Thailand – returns to The St Regis Bangkok’s Drawing Room and The St Regis Bar this Saturday at 3pm and 5pm.

This week’s shows will be performed by the gifted violin and piano students of the Viemus Music School.
Concert-goers can choose between the Qeelin Afternoon Tea Set priced at Bt1,800-plus for two and the Thai Afternoon Tea Set priced at Bt950-plus, also for two.

From Ibiza to Bangkok

Pacha Ibiza resident DJ Matt Caseli has been spinning his trademark quality house and tech sounds over the past 23 years at venues all over the globe. Now he’s coming to Bangkok and will be manning the deck at the weekly Supersonic Saturday event run by The Club at Koi tomorrow night starting from 9. 
DJs Ome and Groove provide the support, spinning their own take on future house, house and electronic.

A song for you

Dutch star Pia Douwes, one of Europe’s best known musical actresses, joins with Thai acts VieTrio, the VieMus Orchestra, The Sound of Siam and Thaweesak Akarawong, ranad ek master of the Fine Arts Department for a charity concert at the Thailand Cultural Centre’s small hall on August 13 at 7pm.

Wild, wet and a whole lotta fun

The Wet & Wild Festival returns for a fourth year to Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark in Pattaya on July 7 on the theme “Thank God it’s Rhino Day”.
The music festival, which runs from noon to midnight, features more than 40 artists and bands spread over three stages. The “MegaWave” stage will host sets by Thaitanium, Slot Machine, Paradox, Lipta, Polycat, and Jazz Sputnix Papiyong Kookkook; the “Surf Arena Stage” has Urboy TJ and Thai Hop; while the third, “Paradise Pool Party” will see DJs Cleop, Roxy June, Botcash, Make You Freak, Machina, Ogsmith, Henri, Dazeter and Bamboo taking turns at the deck.
