Wooing the Trump kind of tourists
Nigel Pike’s suggestion that TAT stimulate tourism to Thailand by targeting “white, heterosexual, Christian, nuclear families” could largely be brought to fruition by directly making advertising pitches towards just one group: Donald Trump’s “base”.
Of course, the meat of the ads should promise a sin-free visit: roped off adult entertainment zones, no ladyboy shows and free transportation to and from Christian churches.
Of course, if Donald wanted to come with his base, the TAT could build a special church in which he could “worship”. It would be staffed by some of Bangkok’s best, but temporarily unemployed, sin workers. If TAT made him that offer I am certain he would come.
