Weichai's 3MW generator powers Koh Sichang reliably

On April 10, a ceremony celebrating the Weichai generator set’s achievement of 30,000 operational hours at Thailand’s Koh Sichang Power Station was held.

Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Weichai Group, and Chen Muxiong, Chairman of Thailand’s Namsang Company, jointly commemorated this milestone for the Weichai 12M33 generator set.

Tan also presented customers with a “Lifetime Quality Assurance” service commitment certificate.

During the event, Chen expressed appreciation for how Weichai has provided electricity security for Koh Sichang's residents and thanked them for continuous round-the-clock technical support.

He hopes for further collaboration to develop products tailored to Thailand's market needs.

The Weichai Koh Sichang Power Station, operational since 2019, has safely run for 5 years, surpassing 30,000 hours of operation, setting a remarkable example of cooperation.

Koh Sichang, located southeast of Bangkok, covers 17 square kilometres and is home to about 5,000 permanent residents.

The Koh Sichang power station, with a 3MW installed capacity powered by three Weichai 12M33 generating sets, primarily serves the electricity needs of local island merchants and residents, operating for an average of 16 hours per day.

Since its inception, the Weichai 12M33 generating sets at this power station have demonstrated exceptional performance, including robust power output, fuel efficiency, environmental adaptability, high automation, noise control, and low maintenance costs.

The generator set has accumulated a stable operating time of 30,000 hours, showcasing reliability and stability, and meeting world-class standards.

The successful operation of the Weichai Koh Sichang power station has not only improved the quality of life for local residents but also enhanced Weichai's brand image globally.

The power station is a model of successful power solutions in Thailand and Southeast Asia, demonstrating Weichai's competitive advantage in the sector.
