Khao Yai mini-marathon to raise funds for injured rangers

The first edition of the Khao Yai Run for Rangers mini-marathon will be held on July 30 at Khao Yai National Park in a bid to raise money for the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry’s fund to support park rangers who were injured or killed in forest-protecting missions.

The event will comprise a 3.5-kilometre fun run and a 10.5km mini-marathon. Runners will pass landmarks including Sai Sorn reservoir, Thung Pong Kwang meadow, the old golf course and Suratsawadee Camp.

There is a Bt300-per-head fee and participants will be provided with a T-shirt. The winners will receive trophies from Natural Resources and Environment Minister General Surasak Karnjanarat while all runners who make it to the finish line will get a souvenir medal.
