Fire hits shophouse in Yaowarat area
A shophouse in Yaowarat area was damaged by fire on Thursday morning. No casualties were reported.
Plapplachai police were alerted at 10am that a four-storey shophouse on Soi Texax off Phadung Dao road in Samphanthawong district had caught fire.
Firefighters from the Suan Mali took about half-an-hour to put out the blaze that started on the third floor and spread to the fourth floor.
The building was used a warehouse to keep paper offerings and models for use in Chinese offering rituals.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
