Joints teams of police, army troops and Interior Ministry officials, acting on tip-offs, checked several routes believed to be used by drug traffickers on Thursday until they found Tui Xaiyawong, 42, on a roadside in Tambon Nong Waeng, Ban Paeng district.&nbsp; 
The pills were found in a bag he was carrying and he admitted that he was hired to smuggle them across the Mekong River to a spot where it would later be picked up by a man he was due to meet. 
Tui named his accomplice as Siho Gongun, 66, a former member of the Tambon Nong Son administrative organisation in Na Thom district. 
The officials then arrested Siho at his house.

Two men arrested, meth pills seized

A Lao man and his Thai accomplice have been arrested for allegedly smuggling 630,000 methamphetamine pills from Laos into the northeastern province of Nakhon Phanom.
