Old man with amnesia goes on hunt for girls in Chon Buri

A 74-year-old man with amnesia was found strolling in Chon Buri’s Sri Racha district on Saturday morning after his son posted a message on Facebook asking people to help locate him.

Sathit Jiraporn, 37, posted the Facebook message on Tuesday, saying his father Paibool, had disappeared from their home on Charansanitwong Road in Bangkok Noi district. Some Facebook users responded saying the man was spotted in Chon Buri’s Muang district.
Then on Saturday morning, Pol Captain Rangsiman Jaranai, deputy inspector of the Samet Police Station, was alerted by locals that an old man was seen walking along the Sri Racha motorway.
Police found the man and took him to the police station. Sathit, who was notified to pick up his dad, said his father had amnesia and was getting treated at the Somdej Chaophraya Hospital, but he rarely took his medicines.
Normally, Paibool wears a T-shirt displaying his son’s mobile phone number and address, but this time he did not have it on. When asked about his decision to go wandering, Paibool said he wanted to go to Laem Chabang because he had heard that there were a lot of girls at the beach there.
