About 1,600 students and teachers at Uttaradit Rajabhat University in the North put on an elaborate display of message cards on Sunday in honour of His Majesty the King’s 67th birthday.

Rector Ruengdej Wongla first led the teachers, students and local administrators in a ceremony paying respect to a portrait of the King in front of the school’s conference hall.

Then, they performed the impressive “card stunts”, forming the message in Thai “Long Live the King” on a massive scale.

The students also planted 1,214 trees, as well as rice in the university’s demonstration paddy field.
