Airport Rail Link celebrates Queen Mother’s birthday with free rides for mums
The Airport Rail Link will celebrate the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother by allowing mothers to ride the electric train for free on August 12.
Suthep Phanpheng, president of SRT Electrified Train Co Ltd, said children can take their mothers for a free ride on the Airport Rail Link train from 6 am to midnight on the Queen Mother’s birthday, which is also national Mother’s Day.
He said children need should present their mothers’ ID card to the ticket booth to get a free ticket, adding that children and their mothers must share the same surname to qualify.
The activity aims to honour the Queen Mother and promote closer ties in the family, Suthep added.
