Kalaya resigns as Democrat MP
Deputy Education Minister Kalaya Sophonpanich resigned as Democrat party-list MP Thursday, the House speaker’s secretary said.
Somboon Uthaiwiankul, secretary to the House speaker, said Kalaya had submitted her resignation to House Speaker Chuan Leekpai and the resignation took effect on Thursday.
Her place will automatically be filled by the 22nd Democrat party-list candidate Phisit Lee-artham.
