A photo shared on Facebook of students at Rajamangala University of Technology Isaan wearing motorcycle helmets while taking an exam has had tongues wagging – especially after one of the students revealed that they were being “punished”.

Malee Kawsanthia posted the picture on Wednesday (September 25) with the caption “100% cheat prevention”.

It explained that the science and the liberal arts students were taking a test on innovation and plant-breeding technology.

One of the students then added that they were forced to wear helmets as a form of punishment because most students at the school refuse to wear helmets while riding motorcycles.

The student said the professor supervising the exam wanted to remind them of the importance of road safety and ordered them to wear helmets in the classroom for 15 minutes.
