It warned people in risky areas to beware of severe conditions and stay tuned for weather updates, adding that waves in the Andaman Sea could rise 2-3 metres, 2 metres in the Gulf and above 3 metres in areas with thundershowers. It advised all ships to proceed with caution and small boats to stay ashore.
