Freebies to mark national Mother’s Day
The Expressway Authority of Thailand is marking national Mother’s Day on Wednesday (August 12) by waiving toll fees all day on the Sirirat, Chalerm Mahanakhon and Udon Ratthaya expressways.
Mother’s Day is marked in Thailand every year on August 12, the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
Apart from the waiver on toll fees, mothers can travel on BTS for free with their children all day on Wednesday, provided they depart and arrive at their destination together. This freebie is applicable on all BTS routes as well as BRT buses from 6am to midnight.
