Two returnees found positive in state quarantine

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration reported two new cases over a 24-hour period on Monday (September 14).

The Thai returnees were in state quarantine in Chonburi province.
A 23-year-old man returned from the United States on September 6 and tested positive on September 12, while a 29-year-old female student returned from Qatar on September 7 and tested positive on September 11.

The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand are 3,475 (537 in state quarantine), of whom 105 are in hospital, 3,312 have recovered and been discharged, while the death toll is 58.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am on Monday, the total number of confirmed global cases since the outbreak passed 29.1 million (rising by 244,857 over a 24-hour period), 21 million have recovered, 60,487 are in serious condition and 928,267 have died.

Thailand ranks 125th for most cases in the world, while the US has the most number with 6.7 million, followed by India 4.84 million, Brazil 4.33 million, Russia 1.06 million and Peru 726,619.
