Officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources on Friday night monitored the incubation of leatherback sea turtles on Bang Kwan Beach in Phang-nga province.

The incubation started at around 11.45pm. The officials collected strong baby turtles and released 77 of them into Andaman Sea.

Nine weak baby turtles were taken under their care by officials to prepare them for release in the future. Four eggs were moved to an ICU box for hatching.
