Heat and haze forecast for upper Thailand, isolated thundershowers in the South
The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Monday that a heat low covers upper Thailand.
Southerly and southeasterly winds blow over the lower North, the Central and the East including Bangkok and its vicinity.
A hot to very hot day with haze is forecast for upper Thailand, while isolated rains are expected in some areas.
Meanwhile, the easterly winds blowing over the South and the Gulf bring isolated thundershowers to the South.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
North: Hot to very hot with haze; isolated thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 17-26 degrees Celsius, highs of 35-39°C.
Northeast: Hot day with haze; temperature lows of 21-25°C, highs of 33-37°C.
Central: Hot with haze during the day; isolated thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27°C, highs of 32-37°C.
East: Hot day with haze; isolated thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27°C, highs of 32-37°C; waves less than a metre high and a metre offshore.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with isolated light rains; temperature lows of 23-25°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high.
South (west coast): Hot during the day with isolated light rains; temperature lows of 22-26°C, highs of 34-36°C; waves less than a metre high and a metre offshore.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Hot with haze during the day and isolated light rains; temperature lows of 25-27°C, highs of 34-37°C.
