
Akkarawut Kraisrisombat, chairman of Impatient Thais and a representative of the group’s civic network, submitted a letter alongside people the group said had been affected at the offices of the Embassy of Israel in Thailand on Monday (August 24, 2026).
They sought cooperation in promoting understanding of and respect for Thai law, customs and culture among Israeli tourists and residents in the country.
Impatient Thais said it had received complaints from Thai people who said they had been affected in several areas and provinces, and that several cases had recently been reported in Thai media.
The group alleged that Israeli tourists and residents had intimidated and harassed local Thai residents, Thai tourists and Thai business operators in Phuket; Surat Thani, including Koh Samui and Koh Phangan; and Pai district in Mae Hong Son.
The group said the complaints also involved social, business and property disputes in those areas, causing concern among local people and drawing widespread criticism in Thai society.
It therefore made the following requests to the embassy:
