The Nonthaburi school shooting has renewed attention on six major attacks in Thailand since 2020, from Korat and Nong Bua Lamphu to Bangkok and Songkhla

The shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School on Friday (August 7) has renewed attention on a series of major shooting incidents in Thailand since 2020, involving shopping centres, a childcare centre, schools and a Bangkok market.

Seven people were reported killed in the Nonthaburi attack — three teachers, three students and the student suspect — while 15 others were injured, two seriously.

The incident is the latest in a series of six major attacks highlighted by Nation TV, beginning with the Korat shooting in February 2020.
