- Each cupronickel coin features portraits of the King and Queen on one side and the respective event's official emblem on the other, with a limited production of 200,000 pieces per event.

The Treasury Department under the Ministry of Finance has officially opened public exchanges for two series of 20-baht commemorative coins to mark Thailand hosting the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games.
Akkaruth Sandhyananda, director-general of the Treasury Department, announced that the special issues have been minted to celebrate Thailand’s role as host nation for both regional sporting events, which were assigned to take place consecutively under South-East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) policy.
The SEA Games took place between 9 and 20 December 2025, while the 13th ASEAN Para Games followed from 20 to 26 January 2026.
According to the department, the release honors the royal benevolence and prestige of Their Majesties the King and Queen while serving as historic keepsakes for athletes, tourists, and the general public.
Both issues are white metal cupronickel coins with a face value of 20 baht, measuring 32 millimetres in diameter and weighing 15 grams. Production has been capped at a maximum of 200,000 pieces per event.
Coin Specifications and Designs
Obverse Side: Each coin features side-profile effigies of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. The SEA Games coin shows Their Majesties facing right, whereas the ASEAN Para Games coin depicts them facing left. The official full royal titles of Both Monarchs are inscribed along the lower inner rims.
Reverse Side: The centre of each coin bears the official tournament emblem of its respective event. The SEA Games edition features the tournament dates "9 - 20 December 2025 Thailand" along the lower inner rim, flanked by "20" on the right and "Baht" on the left. The ASEAN Para Games edition displays the tournament emblem with "THAILAND 2025 ASEAN PARA GAMES" alongside the dates "20 - 26 January 2026 Thailand" and the denomination "20 Baht".

Members of the public can exchange for the commemorative coins through three main distribution routes:
Central Region: Exchanges are available at the Coin Management Division in Pathum Thani Province, as well as the Coin Exchange and Disbursement Units on Chakrabongse Road and Rama VI Road in Bangkok.
Regional Offices: Exchanges can be made across 76 Area Treasury Offices nationwide.
Online Orders: Purchases can be placed online at www.treasury.go.th or via the TRD e-Commerce mobile application on iOS and Android free of charge, with postal delivery fees covered by the buyer.
