Flooding disrupted parcel services in Thailand on Tuesday (September 29, 2026), with J&T Express reporting impacts in 29 provinces. KEX adjusted collections and deliveries according to access conditions, while Flash Express warned of possible delivery delays in 18 provinces.
Bangkok roads remain flooded as rain eases
Rain was easing in Bangkok and surrounding provinces on September 29, but floodwater remained on more than 33 main roads and residential streets. Earlier downpours had brought accumulated rainfall close to 300 millimetres, while major canals remained at critical levels and drained slowly.
Parcel operators were monitoring road conditions and adapting collection and delivery plans as flooding restricted access to some destinations. Parcels bound for inaccessible areas could be held at distribution centres until delivery routes became safe to use.
J&T Express reports flood impact in 29 provinces
J&T Express said flooding had affected services in 29 provinces, covering Bangkok and surrounding provinces as well as parts of central, eastern, northeastern, western and southern Thailand.
J&T was assessing road conditions and access to service centres to adjust routes and transport plans, prioritising the safety of employees and delivery workers.
Some J&T parcels could arrive late, but the company had not specified how many days deliveries might be delayed. J&T was also checking the operational readiness of centres, machinery, equipment and personnel in each affected area.
Through its J&T Care programme, J&T Express delivered 1,200 bottles of drinking water via the civil defence volunteer radio centre in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Thian district on September 26. J&T also delivered non-perishable food to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on September 28 to support people affected by flooding.
KEX may hold parcels until affected areas are accessible
KEX said parcels destined for inaccessible areas may be stored safely at distribution centres and delivered as soon as access is restored.
KEX continues to operate in areas it can reach, adjusting collections and deliveries to local conditions while prioritising customer and staff safety.
The number of KEX centres temporarily suspending services may change as flooding and access conditions develop. KEX said it would continue to update its service status as the situation changed.
Flash Express warns of delays in 18 provinces
Flash Express warned that flooding could delay parcel deliveries in 18 provinces: Chanthaburi, Rayong, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Trat, Chachoengsao, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Nayok, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Surin and Phetchaburi.
Flash Express apologised for the inconvenience and said it would work to deliver parcels to recipients as quickly as conditions allowed.
