Thailand unveils IMF-World Bank commemorative coins

Thailand’s Treasury Department is issuing two 100-baht commemorative coins for the 2026 IMF-World Bank annual meetings, available from October 9.

Thailand’s Treasury Department will release two commemorative 100-baht coins on October 9 to mark the country’s hosting of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas said the coins were being issued after Thailand was selected to host the annual meetings from October 12-18.

The Treasury Department, under the Ministry of Finance, produced the coins as souvenirs marking the occasion and to honour Their Majesties the King and Queen while promoting Thailand to international delegates and visitors.

The King is depicted in a Western-style suit, while the Queen is shown wearing a Thai traditional dress and necklace.

Their royal titles appear along the lower rim, separated by a decorative Thai motif.
